Our appointment book is computerized which allows us to efficiently make appointments for you and your pet. Our receptionists and team will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability. Emergencies are accepted anytime our clinic is open. If you feel you have an emergency with your pet, please call us or come to the hospital immediately. If possible it is best to call before coming in so that a staff member can advise you on your particular emergency.

Emergency & Urgent Care

We have a veterinarian and personnel on duty 5 days a week who are trained and equipped to handle any urgent care your pet has. An emergency team consists of one veterinarian and several technicians working together to save a pet's life. Emergencies can be things such as chocolate ingestion or getting hit by a car. If you ever feel that your pet needs emergency treatment do not hesitate to call or come in immediately. If possible, it is ideal to call before coming in so that a team member can advise you on your particular emergency and start preparations for your arrival.

We are also available for urgent care when the condition is not life-threatening, but you feel your pet needs to be seen before you are able to get an appointment. Our staff will work to get you in between scheduled appointments. When you arrive, our receptionists will be able to give you an estimate on how long you may have to wait in order to be seen. Your patience, as always, is greatly appreciated.

After hours emergencies are directed to contact the Veterinary Emergency Clinic of Central Florida of which Varsity Veterinary Center is a member. The location closest to the College Park Area is the Casselberry location. Click here for phone number and directions

Types of Pets Seen

Dr Olson's experience allows us at Varsity Veterinary Center, to see a larger variety of pets than many other area veterinarians:

  • Dogs
  • Cats
  • Birds
  • Reptiles
  • Rabbits
  • Other Small Mammals
  • Amphibians
  • Fish
  • Some Small Farm Animals
  • Other Exotics
  • Florida Wildlife

Florida Wildlife

Dr. Olson's career as a Florida biologist for over 11 years, as well as her experience with treating injured and orphaned wildlife, makes her an ideal veterinarian to help with our "other" neighbors. If you believe you have found an injured or orphaned wild animal, please call us right away. We can often help determine if the animal is truly injured or, in bird cases especially, just getting used to their new mode of transportation, flying! Regardless, Varsity Veterinary Center offers expert medical and surgical care to all wildlife, prior to releasing the animal to a certified wildlife rehabilitation groupThere is no charge to the Good Samaritan who brings these animals in. Donations are accepted on behalf of the wildlife groups we work with to help cover their costs associated with returning the animal back into the wild where it belongs.

Payments

Varsity Veterinary Center accepts payment via cash, MasterCard, or Visa. So that we can continue to provide you high quality service utilizing the best medical technologies, we request that payment be made at the time services are rendered.

We provide estimates for all surgeries and hospitalizations. If you have not received an estimate, you are welcome to request one at any time for your expected charges.
